How to use Game Mode in Windows 10
One of the new features introduced with the Windows 10 Creators Update is Game Mode, basically helps you have the best gaming experience on your Windows 10 PC.

When you use the Game mode for a game, Windows 10 makes gaming the top priority to improve the game performance and quality. Windows 10 gives a boost to the game by giving less priority to background tasks and other apps.

The Game bar is designed to help you control the Game DVR feature for recording and broadcasting games without the help of third-party software.

While running an app or game, you can simply press Windows logo + G hotkey to open the Game bar. In addition to recording Games, you can also record other apps. For instance, you can record video which is being played in VLC, Windows Media Player, or any other player. The Game bar stores all recorded clips in the following folder:

C:\Users\UserAccountName\Videos\Captures

You can turn on or off the Game mode and game bar by navigating to Settings > Gaming > Game mode

Luckily, it’s possible to turn off the Game bar. Here is how to do that.

1. Open Settings. Navigate to Gaming > Game bar.

2. Turn off Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Game bar option to disable the Game bar.

Enable or disable Game mode for specific apps in Windows 10
Game mode for a specific game in Windows 10 can be enabled or disabled.

1. Once the game/app is running, simultaneously press Windows logo and G keys to reveal the game bar.

2. Click on the settings/gear icon to open Game bar settings.

3. Under the General tab, check Use game mode for this game option to enable the Game mode the current app. Likewise, uncheck the option to disable the Game mode for the current game.
