I have a dell studio 1555, last week i noticed twice when printing something (wireless printer) that the printer was stopping and starting throughout its printing job which I thought was a little strange but the printing got done. Then shortly after I noticed I kept losing my wireless connection to the internet. For a while I could re-connect to my BT hub then it stopped and although the laptop could find the hub and the signal was good it could not connect to it. My daughter's laptop could connect to it but not mine. I tried all I could think of and followed the troubleshooting advice and established that my laptop is no longer part of a network, hence why I now also can't print anything to my wireless printer. I have Mcafee security supplied by BT, I tried turning that off but still couldn't connect. I tried taking my laptop to a friend's and connecting to their wireless network but the same thing it could find the hub but then couldn't connect to it. On troubleshooting it tells me:
problem with wireless adapter or access point
windows cannot access Hils-pc\users error code 0x80070035
none of the networks you have previously connected to are in range
a network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken
I've gone round and round and round on this I then tried to ping my ip number by following instructions but when I typed ipconfig in to find my ip address i got the following:
Wireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection : Media disconnected
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection : Media disconnected
Tunnel adapter isatap{874B0613-0A40-47C0-A07A-00E9E8289771} : Media disconnected
Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface : Media disconnected
Tunnel adapter isatap.{D0FE9F43-6932-424D-AEAA-8717C5BE4D2F} : Media disconnected
I have no idea what that means and absolutely no idea what else to do I also can't connect wired to the internet either. Yet to my knowledge I did nothing wrong??? Please can someone throw any light on this ?? Please.
