problem emptying temp folder

I'm trying to get my computer so iTunes will recognize my iPod. One thing Apple support says to try is emptying my temp folder. But when I try that, I get an error saying it can't delete JET7F7B.tmp because it's being used by another program. Except no other programs are running. Ideas? Thanks--

Hi, i suggest you just to reinstall iTunes.

But, if you decide not to do that, try to use Unlocker and manually delete temp files from iTunes.
