windows installer repair, removal, replace

My windows installer keeps sending the message that it can't open the patch package. Wants me to verify if it exists and I can access it or to verify it's a valid Windows Inst. patch package. I've tried various web sites to fix, but to no success. Any leads out there to help?

This should probably be posted under Operating Systems as its a Windows Installer issue not programming.

Or are you trying to create a patch to fix a problem and its not being recognized? If thats the case it could go here.

Please give a little more detail to the problem your having like programming language and such. Most things go unanswered here as people provide little information.
