I have been having the issue of the hard drives in my laptop making clicking type noises intermittently, from time to time. I have tried to look it up, and found so many conflicting reasons. I thought initially, the obvious reason, could be due to the drive, in very short time about to fail, but it has not done so yet. It has happened with both the drives I use with the laptop.

It has only started again, after about 5 months or so of not doing so.. Could you possibly explain a reason why it could be doing this..?

Regards

Dave

Clicking is usually the sign of a dying hard drive, yes. I'd recommend that you backup your important photos, music, and documents to a flash drive or CD/DVDs
