Loose internet connection

I have high speed cable internet and my modem keeps loosing its connection. I will disconnect cable connection on modem, wait about 30 seconds then reconnect and signal comes back. This can last 10 minutes or a couple hours then I repeat the process and it always comes back. I'm hard wired to a router. I eliminated the router to see if the same thing happens and it does. I had no issues for 6 months then this started. I checked all the cable connections and went to a one in two out splitter that was provided with the Comcast Modem and that has not helped. Called Comcast and they said it is fine on there end. Any suggestions?
