I have a computer with Bankerfox.A. I used Marwarebytes and removed 277 infections, but it appears it did not remove the virus. I did this in safe mode, as it will not let me run it in regular mode. None of the other programs I tried will run. I get a pop up that says they are infected. Even the OTL you mention acts the same with the infected message. Can I run OTL in safe mode?

I have used info on your site and other programs to take care of my problem. I manually listed all the AV programs in the blocked programs and downloaded rkill to stop the processes and then I was able to run malwarebytes and other programs in the safe mode. I also ran them again after getting out of the safe mode and all seems fine.
Thanks
