My 8000/384 DSL connection

Here's mine for my 12mbps internet connection, my ISP usually give a little extra...

oohhh not bad....We get conned with DSL in Australia (8mbps is the fastest available....go figure?)

I cant wait for (FTTN) fibre to the node like they have in Europe but i'll probably be too old to see my monitor by then :-B:

I have a 56K Conexant SoftV90 Data Fax Modem :pale:
And doesn't help that I live in the sticks, on a dead end road, and if someone calls the house, I get knocked of the Net because theres only one phone line.

Sounds like your phone company has some very poor quality copper lines, there, my friend. I usually have a few baud left over at the end of the day. Want some?

Where do you live that you are getting a connection speed like that?

I'm running on cable. My ISP says this cable is hybrid with fibre optics.

here is mine, its poor.

Max 8MB connection in my area and upload speeds average around 35Kbps

I guess mine is the worst!!

So I tried the speedtest.net this time and got:



Hmm pretty strange this, as the "swedish speedtest" I tried out before gave me: Download 89.86 mb/s and Upload: 19.18 mb/s.

Is the "Swedish speedtest" at http://www.bredbandskollen.se/ giving you guys lower "speeds" than speedtest.net as well? If anyone wants to try, click on the link and then simply click "starta mätning" ("start measurement"). Skicka = Upload. Ta emot = download.

Because it is interesting that the Swedish one gives me upload: 19.18 mb/s, while speedtest.net gives me, upload: 77.97 mb/s

on my other computer, i did a site like this, and it said *Before dividing by 8* that my Download speed was 8000 MB/s, and when it's finalized, I should get like 1.3 MB/s. And I've downloaded at 1.0 megabyte per second, and it blew my mind. On THIS computer, however, my max download speed is usually only 400 kb/s. :'{

Yeah. Well, ours is a local company that offers standard speed. Nothing special, but they do offer I think it was 12mb.

Jeez, I thought mine was better than this! Oh well, it works for me.

I'm on 1mb, but as you can see I can get more than 0,8..

My download speed is 416kbps and my upload speed is 437kbps. Do you think every tester shows different values. I checked the above value in ~+++SPAM+++~ and when i checked in another site it showed a completely different value. How is this?

im on 100/100 fiber... and this is what I get atm. on wireless and a concrete wall between the router and my adapter.
I know for fact that I've had 30mbit/s up to, seems like speedtest aint good with measuring upload speed

I know this is slow, but considering the fact that Internet speed in general isn't that good in Serbia, I'm lucky
