How to Remove Antivirus Soft [Removal Guide]

i did everything EXACTLY how it was told to me and i still couldn't get rid of it. i do not know what else to do.

Hi, New member here. I got rid of antivirus soft fine, however, I don't have internet options anymore. Even in my control panl. Is this from unchecking the proxy boxes? I can't delete history either. Any help will be appreciated..Mike

I am having problems removing this. I can turn off the proxy part, but when I try to access the internet, It says I can't connect to the internet. I can't diagnose the connect problem because I am in Safe Mode. How can I access the internet in safe mode? Just in case it matters I run a wireless system off of a router.

I just got hit with this beast. I will try this procedure once I get home and see if it works out for me as well. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I did exactly every thing he said in safe mode, i deleated the virus files, but the popups for antivirus soft still keep continuing and its getting really annoying can someone please tell me how i can remove these popups!!!

I still can not get rid of that Anti soft even after reading the steps. The only step I was not able to do was turn off the fire wall...anti soft wont let me see that menu long enough to do it....any suggestions...

I simply followed the instructions in the guide (to a tee) and within 15 minutes I was done and that bad old malware was gone!

Hello, i just registered. I did EXACTLY everything mentioned in here and i still cant get rid of it. It keeps appearing over and over again everytime i restart my PC. It green alert icon shows on next to the clock warning of fake alerts.

Please if there's anything else i can do to solve this problem, tell me.

i did all that once before and it worked but i tried it last night and it said that all the problems had been removed but when I restarrted the computer it was stil there. ANy help?

When i get back home today, i'll try reseting the system to a previous point. A few days ago if possible, to when my PC wasnt infected. I think that might work. I recommend it to anyone.

How do you do that?

I thought I would run the malware removal software on my son's laptop even though he didn't have the "Antivirus Soft" virus. However the laptop was experiencing some "odd" behavior lately. I found three infected files and was able to remove them. Laptop is running aces!

Thanks! I followed step by step, and I was able to get the Antivirus Soft off of my computer. It did take a while, as I wasn't able to open up the Malware software up after installation (as my computer wouldn't open up any .exe files). It took some persistance, but I finally got it running, and I'm happy to say that it's off my computer now!

That being said, are there any suggestions on antivirus software that will help prevent something like this in the future?

I did it!!! Got rid of it, by reseting the system to a previous point!. Thanks anyway for the info. I'll keep an eye on this site.

This is what worked for me. I couldn't download the malware update in safe mode but I could run the program. I did a system restore then was able to re-scan with SuperAntiSpyware. It hasn't come back but it was only this morning so I may see it again. I also updated with Norton but now I can't scan for viruses with it. Thanks for all the advice.

if you have read all the way to this comment, then let me tell you. Yes, it really works. I was skeptical of the program, but do it man it really does work. Or of course you don't have to and your comp can stay like that or you go buy your way out of it and lose all your files or just try this. Besides it can't get any worse....right?

I couldn't thank you guys enough i followed the directions and my computer is back to normal from being so nasty. This was the best solution when i googled how to get rid of it. You guys probably save me alot of money as opposed to taking it in to get fixed which would of been my next move. I seriously couldn't thank you enough and now im a member on here and seeing how it's useful for other problems i will most definitely tell my friends and family about this,again thank you so much

just found this site today, following my pc getting attacked! i must say, i followed directions, took about 20 minutes, and viola--gone!!! really disappointed in my Norton utility! it never detected it, and was updated today...norton users come here for solution!! Thanks Geeks!!!!!!

I to was struck by the antivirus soft virus, it just came out from no where. As soon as it appeared I knew it was a fake. Found this site and followed the easy to understand instructions, It removed the virus from my computer very quickly, thanks for everything!!

Hey guys, I was having trouble at the point it would try and update itself after the load.... it was blocked and the update is what had the info to find this bugger..... I ran the scan without it and it didn't find it.... I went to Item#4 on the list and downloaded the current database and it found two items and then all was good after a re-boot.

Lenovo P61 running Vista

I followed the instructions to get rid of anti virus soft and was able to get rid of it. However, now I have a few new problems. First, my computer now will not ever shutdown using the start, turn off computer, restart (or turn off) sequence which I always used before. Now I either have to power it off or, not infrequently, I have to actually remove the battery. Secondly, it is freezing up fairly frequently (numerous times everyday); it rarely did this before (maybe once a month). After it freezes I have to power it off or remove the battery to restart it. And sometimes when it freezes I get a loud humming noise like maybe the hard drive is working to unfreeze it. Also in my Norton security logs it still says there are unauthorized accesses taking place to the Norton Internet security engine from notepad.exe, rstrui.exe, ipod etc (in short from the progs that I run). I wonder if there are still traces of this virus on my machine. BTW, Norton never picked up any indication of the virus-I wonder if the virus compromised it somehow. In any case, does anybody have any ideas as to how i can solve these new problems? Thanks in advance.

I've been doing this for two days now! I just did the Malware virus check thing which to fifty plus minutes and that's the third time today! It says that there are no infected files etc, but there certainly is. This is just evil! What am I doing wrong or do I just have a super Antivirus Soft? I can get on the internet, safe mode etc, but nothing is removing this. Please for the love of all that is desent, HELP! And why doesn't some clever-dick come up with something that as soon as some blank bland sends you a virus, it sends them one back twice as bad?

Mine was still there after the first attempt of the quick scan. So I ran the full scan after another restart and it seems to have fixed the problem. I followed the instructions and it worked out for me. Don't listen to people saying this took 15 minutes. From start to finish, it took me a few hours. Ugghh. Thanks for the help GeekPolice

I'm a computer amateur at best and was at wits' end once that bug hijacked my computer (a.k.a., my job search lifeline) for a solid week. If I'd seen that phony ad, error message, and porno sites pop up in my windows just a few more times, the whole computer was going to go out the *actual* window.

Sceptically, (& desperate & broke) I stumbled across this thread and followed the clear, simple, complete instructions to the letter. Twenty minutes later, I WAS BACK ON TRACK, GOOD AS NEW ---AND FOR FREE, TO BOOT!!!

ive scanned my computer 10 times with malwarebytes and it will not pick up any virus whats next?

So heres my problem. I downloaded as you said. Im on safemode and networking as we speak. But im trying to get the Anti-Malware to open but it wont? did i do something wrong. Its completely downloaded and everything but it wont do the next steps.

I just got this damn malware. I am wondering if you still be able to get to open the files and installed programs once treated. Or will they remain corrupted?

The first time I did the Malware Bytes scan, it found a number of infections, and I cleaned them all out. Now, when I run the scan it tells me no malware was found. But every time I turn my computer on in normal mode, it freezes in the middle of the booting-up process.

The scan tells me I don't have Antivirus Soft anymore, so why can I still not use my computer??

I tried spyware doctor and it works, my pc is Antivirus Soft-free anymore!

Thanks for this site! I couldn't get Internet access even though I was in safe mode with networking. I tried using another computer to download the malware software and then transferred it to the infected computer via flash drive. I was able to do this, but the software would not run. Finally, I decided to try a restore my computer in safe mode. This worked! I restored two days back and my computer returned to its normal, happy self. Thank heavens. Note: I couldn't download the malware even after my computer was up and running. I don't know why.

By the way, I am quite convinced that this virus comes from facebook. When I restored back to a pre-facebook day, it went away completely.
