Outlook 2003 Exchange\mailbox.pst conflict Personal Folders file

While running Outlook 2003, I get the following message:

“Another application closed unexpectedly while using your Personal Folders file ‘C:\Exchange\mailbox.pst’. To prevent potential damage to your Personal Folders file, it will not be available until you close all applications using it.”

I then close and restart Outlook. What applications use Personal Folders file that could be causing the conflict and how do I fix it?

Problem solved. I was running my old desktop computer on the network along with my new laptop. Both were running Outlook 2003. Files were set to sharing. Removed sharing and have not had any problems since.
