iTunes on XP64bit.

Hay there.
I have Windows XP 64bit, i really hate it.
Incompatible with a lot of things.
I need help with iTunes.

I've tried to get iTunes working on here for a wee while now.
I've googled how to get it working and different versions of iTunes, but still no luck.
My iPod, needs to be used with a version 8.0+ of iTunes, so i can't use it or anything.
I've tried getting the program files from the laptop's current version of iTunes onto here, it loads up and tells me it cant read the ipod, "please restore it", which i did after getting the songs off and yet it says the same thing and in an older version, "needs to be used with 8.0+".

Does anyone know a way to get the up to date version of iTunes working onto XP 64bit edition?
Or a program virtually like iTunes?

This may help you edit iTunes, but I would recommend you backup your iPod files, as there is no guarantee this will work. http://pctech.invisibill.net/?page_id=36

That install file needs to be used on Vista.
