Personal AV infection

I am new to this. I have a new computer with Norton 360 Antivirus protection! and have been getting the popups from Personal AV. The symbol appears close to that of Norton and I mistakenly let it run a scan. But I did not do the removal task. How can I get this program off my computer? Thanks for any help. I have tried to find help in past posts but I do not find anywhere it references how to use the tools when Norton is installed. I have just paid for this and do not want to uninstall Norton.
