Can someone please help me? 2 days ago Norton 360 removed trojan.fakeavaalert. It then showed clean. Today, Norton showed my computer is infected with something called backdoor.tidserve and it can't remove it. I followed the directions they had and it didn't work. I have looked everywhere I can to figure it out and I don't understand what to do AT ALL. I am ok at computer stuff, but have no idea what I am doing when it comes to messing with the registry and all and am afraid of messing something up. I downloaded the malwarebytes and ran both scans that showed trojan viruses but not anything backdoor.tidserve. I downloaded the Hijack This and below is the log. Please help me in any way you can to fix this. And please be as clear and step by step as you can. Thank you so much for your help.

  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Post the contents of the MBAM Log.

Ok. I downloaded Malwarebytes and the scan kept showing 3 trojan viruses that it said it successfully removed with each reboot. However, each time I rebooted and ran the scan again, they showed up again.
Meanwhile, Norton 360 v. 2.0 scan kept showing only a virus called backdoor.tidserve even though Malwarebytes didn't even show that.

It's been three days of endless scans and whatnot to try and remove this backdoor, tidserve thing from my computer and all of the sudden today Norton pops up saying there was a new version called Norton 360 v. 3.0 and that I could upgrade for the time left in my subscription. I did the upgrade and I ran the scan with the new version. This time it detected several trojans as well as the backdoor.tidserve one and said it removed all of them.
I then ran both Norton and Malwarebytes scans and they came up clean. Yay!

Now, my question to you is, do you think it truly removed the viruses, or are they hiding or something? If there is anything else you know that I should do to make sure it's gone, please let me know. Thanks so much for such a great site!
