Trouble with Antivirus system pro

I downloaded malware bytes anti malware in hopes of getting rid of the antivirus system pro but it wouldnt open for me. so i took the necessary steps into the "hijack this" file and will now copy and paste, in hopes i get some help. thxs in advance =D

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  

Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

because i did not find it among the system scan list. otherwise i tried running malware, and once again it did not launch. i removed it from my computer and installed again and no dice. so hopefully there is an alternative to malwarebytes?

also not sure if this is helpful but a "symptom" i suppose is when im turning on my pc and when it's in p.o.s.t. and booting, it will get to the windows xp operating system part, but then just go black, this doesnt happen everytime but a good percentage and i have to turn it off and on again >< and at other times when i do get into my file in order to run anything, it freezes and gives me a beep. im not sure what the correlation between this behavior and the virus is, but it wasnt surfaced before the virus. hope the information helps, just keep sending me instructions and ill do whatever i have to =D thxs again.

A rootkit is probably interfering. We need to use something stronger, but we need to uninstall a few things first.

• Open HijackThis.
  
• When Hijack This opens, click "Open the Misc Tools section"
  
• Then select "Open Uninstall Manager"
  
• Click on "Save List..." (generates uninstall_list.txt)
  
• Click Save, copy and paste the results in your next post.

Hello.
How is the machine running now?

Well everything seems to be in place. but i have a question, you had me uninstall a few programs earlier, can i reinstall now? such as adobe reader/avast. also is there anything i should run on a weekly or so basis to keep my pc healthy, would mbam suffice? (along with avg, avast, and such.) one last thing if i need help again would it be ok to use this same thread or should i post a new topic? once again thxs for the help, my pc wouldnt even start at times and would freeze when it did, now its problem free (i hope) and maybe even better than it was before xD

The reason why those we uninstalled were because they were outdated versions, as for your anti virus I would recommend you use Avira Free edtion:
