computer will not load!!

Hello.
My sister's computer (windows xp) will not load. It goes to the accounts page only and upon clicking the account it says loading settings, then saving settings, and then will not load, just stays on the account page. Restarting in safe mood does not work either as it does the same thing. This was right after downloading AVG and Spybot and running them. Please help!!

Did you have another antivirus running when you download AVG and Spybot?

No, I believe the computer did not have any antivirus program yet. Furthermore, running spybot and AVG it found of course malware,spyware,viruses and I deleted/fixed them, then proceeded to restart the computer.

If it won't even boot into safe mode, then I'm afraid the only option left is to either perform a repair or format of your OS.

I guess I have no other options.
