Well basically, i'm having a problem with my msn messenger, and now appearing to be through various websites too. (To those that read this, you may be wondering why i'm not contacting Microsoft, i tried, but received no replies at all). Anyway, to start it off, last year some pictures were appearing on the window. If any of you use msn you will see how a file comes through onto the conversation when you send pictures to people, or they send one to you. This is how they are coming through. At the beginning it was only a few advertisements, but then it soon became quite constantly, more and more pictures coming through on the screen;varying from adverts, products, landscape images etc. Not long after they were becoming more personal, some of them were people from my college, along with many other personal galleries. After personals came through for a while porn pictures started, they were quite disgraceful and extremely graphic. I tried a number of things to try and stop them; change my settings on my msn, reinstall the msn, create a new account, a new password etc, but they still kept coming through. MSN has always been the best way for me to contact people because no one really has any other messenger, and i dont top up my phone always so i cannot afford to text people a lot. But anyway, this being just the beginning..

A couple of months later the police took the computer because i wasn't only receiving illegal pornographic images through, but personal details and threats started to come through on the window, too. All the same way as the popups are appearing. Windows were constantly appearing on the screen with text in them, which appeared to be corresponding messages to what me and friends would say through a video conversation, or just via typing. It was like a full conversation they were having as we spoke. The messages would describe what me and friends were doing outside the house, etc.

Now to the internet stuff. A few months ago some links were sent through my msn, along with other links and screenshots of other people's personal desktop views, and what looked like personal conversations between others, which we didn't know at all. Inbetween all that something appeared with both my name and a couple of friends names,which was linked to a website. Perhaps i shouldn't have, but i clicked on it as i was curious to see why our names were appearing on a random webpage. I then saw about 12 ads over a webpage of mine, and a friends house address, phone number and email. I was not only annoyed but confused because we never display our address over any site what so ever. My only thought could be that someone had hacked in somewhere, for all the personal information to randomly be sent through to my messenger. Not only were our details posted, but awful text to go with it. Then some pictures of me and a friend were put through a site with disgraceful text below each picture. (Another reason the police got involved).

There are other bits involved in all this but its probably sounding confusing enough already..
I basically would like a bit of advice here. I have been to a few people in the IT area about this problem, but no one seems to understand it. The police couldn't either. Have any of you had a similar problem to this?
Oh i wiped my pc also. Not only that, the pictures come through on every computer i sign into:S
I know this is not a virus because i can't imagine a virus sending out pictures of rape, kids ina sexual nature etc.
Plus as i'm aware spyware picks up personal information etc, however stuff thats been coming through, well some of the stuff thats come through hasnt even been put on the computer!

Just wondered if anyone here would be able to understand this a little.

Sounds like someone has been keylogging you. But the problem is, by clicking strange links, you've made this worse.

Details are too easy to find, for example, if you own a website without a whois guard on, it's possible to track the owner to address/phone number/email.

You don't need to put pics of you on the internet for them to reach the internet. Anyone taking pics of you at a party using their digital camera can do it, pretty much anyone behind the camera who keeps a hard copy can do it.

Tracking people via the internet now is too easy, just Googling a persons email can lead you to a few different websites they have signed up at.

I know people like to have good times and have their pictures taken a lot, but this is what the dark side of the internet is capable of.

Half the photo's your getting aren't always you. All they need is your face and photoshop skills and god knows what can happen.

My advice right now:

Change all your credit card numbers because they too are trackable, change any passwords you use, stay out of photographics, stay away from social networking.

Keylogging? Ahh..
There are things i am probably unaware of that are happening through the net with these weirdo's.
Sometimes links have come through and have not been clicked on deliberately, only those with my name etc were.
Its been happening through the phone aswell, i pressume they would be in the phone somehow?
Is this something that should be my concern? I am aware of what details can be hacked into etc, hence why i was concerned, especailly as such freaky stuff has happened. When i say pictures have come through the msn, i mean pictures off my phone and a friends phone that werent put on the pc. I guess this is related to the phone bit though.

Even links with your name on are false links leading to malicious websites.

Update and run a full scan with your AV.
