Win32.Zafi.B...?

Hi,

I recently came upon a virus on my computer. I don't really know what it is, or whether or not it is actually zafi.B, because after researching on google, I've found similar testimonials to mine. Here are the symptoms:

The first is that there is a pop up that comes up, that says the following:

"To help protect your computer, Windows Firewall has blocked some features of this program.

Do you want to block this suspicious software?

Name: Win32.Zafi.B
Risk Level: High
Description: Zafi.B is a worm trojan program that records keystrokes and takes screen shots of the computer, stealing personal financial information.

Keep Blocking (unable to choose) Unblock (unable to choose) Enable Protection (able to choose)

Windows firewall has detected unauthorized activity, but unfortunately it cannot help you to remove viruses, keyloggers and other spyware threats that steal your personal information from your computer. Click to download and activate protection"

When I click "Enable Protection" it opens firefox and my internet security blocks the webpage.


Another symptom: It plain won't let me run MSN Messenger, it simply shuts it down saying it encountered a problem.
Another: I can open firefox, but after a little bit of time, it just shots off unexpectedly.

Also, sometimes my windows account won't start, on the loading screen an error window pops up saying that some application failed to initialize. I then have to shut off the computer.


Any advice ASAP would be greatly appreciated!

Hello.

Lets use MBAM.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  

Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Post the contents of the MBAM Log.

• Please download DDS by sUBs to your Desktop (Important!!) from one of these locations:

• Double click DDS.scr to run
  
• When complete, DDS.txt will open.
  
• Click No for Optional Scan.
  
• Save the report to your Desktop.
  
• Copy and paste DDS.txt back here, I don't need to see attach.txt.
