How to Recover my bootable partition

Instead of writing a image to my USB drive [G:\], I selected my C:\ where XP was installed, immediately I realized and stopped the process. But the XP stopped booting, so I reinstalled XP on the 2nd partition [which was my D: before]

If you look at the attached image, the first NTFS 1.46GB and the second 'unformatted' partitions were together my C: before

Third partition is my new XP Install.

I need to know if there is a way to recover the 1st and 2nd partition together so that I can get my earlier XP ?

Please note that I was using http://www.roadkil.net/program.php?ProgramID=12 by my mistake I selected C: drive instead of G:\

Do you mean you were trying to write an image file? If so, what sort of image file......why wouldnt you just let the file write complete itself on C and then cut and paste it back to your USB drive G? (I'm assuming its not a ghost image of a drive, more like a gif or jpg?).

Your able to write any file to your windows install partition as long as you have the space remaining.....and shouldnt windows have already been booted when writing to C? Just cause you stopped a write process, I cant see how this would mess with your boot files forcing you to reinstall windows, unless you backed out halfway through a ghost OS image transfer???

Cant you use your install disc to do a repair install on C and regain the use of its installation?
