This message appears on booting up.  I get rid of it and appears at random times during the day.  I have tried everything.  I have no idea what they are talking about.  I have googled it and followed different advice but nothing seems to work, it is still there.  

Anyone have any idea what to try.

Please boot Windows 7 into Safe Mode an see issue resolves. You can boot Windows into Safe Mode by rebooting your computer press F8 key to boot Windows into Safe Mode.

I booted in safe mode and the message did not appear.

This means one of the startup program or service causing the error message please perform a clean boot state.

I will do as soon as I am able to do it.  I have the instructions printed out and was going to do it immediately but since then a stream of unexpected visitors have turned up and it was impossible to do it with them here.  I would prefer to be by myself and do it with no interruptions.  It is evening now and I will do it tomorrow morning and will post an update of the end result.  I am hopeful this will solve it as it looks very promising and I am very grateful.  Fingers crossed I don't mess up.  I am not too computer literate which is why I want to be on my own.

Hi there.  Ok current state of play is.  Followed instructions on your link and on Services tab slowly ticked all boxes with lots of restarts and have got to bottom of list and the error message is not there, which is very good BUT I am not sure whether now to carry out the same of checking and restarting on the Start up bit of the System Configuration as I can see that there is nothing ticked in these boxes so I am presuming it might be one of these that is causing the problem.  At the moment the General bit it is on selective start up with load start up items ticked which is where it was before.  Should I also do the Normal Start up option first.

Hi @linpat,

You need to find out which one of the startup services or programs causing the issue i know this is not fun but has to be done. After you have found out what is causing the error message please let us know what was causing the error message.

Yes!!!!!!!  Found the problem.  Can you believe I went thru all of the Services with lots of restarts, then did the same with Start up with lots of restarts and it was the last item on Start Up.  It was Voip connect.  Something I have not used for a very long time.  I will now uninstall the programme now and get rid of it all together.  Thank you so very much, I could not have done this without your help.
