System Running EXTREMELY SLOWWWWWW

My Godfather has a Emachine Windows XP computer and it is running extremely slow.
I have run Nortons full scan and it is still slow.
Please help!

There are loads of reasons for system being running slow than its standard rate. Consider upgrading your system specs including the drivers to its updated version.

As of now, make sure you've running with minimum possible applications installed on your computer (Uninstall which you rarely use or not at all). You can also try CCleaner to clean junk files and registries. This will add up a little more speed.
