Sluggish Performance

Hello,

I have had my computer with Windows 8 x32 and it's been a bit sluggish lately. I don't know what may be causing the issue. Not sure if it's malware (highly doubt it), or some other bug.

Please advise.

Start full system scan using an inbuilt AV utility from MSFT: Security Essentials. For detailed tutorial, please visit this:

If this tool is unable to detect any virus, re run the scan again. If this yeilds the same result again, boot your system in safe mode and uninstall any or all the suspcious programs from your computer.

Please note that sluggish computer performance could be contributed by other factors too so investing the exact one could lead us in providing accurate solution.

Would you mind sharing the complete system specs along with all the results produced while following steps mentioned previously.

Please download OTL to your Desktop. (If you already have it downloaded, then just follow the instructions below).

Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.

Make sure Use Safe List is selected under all categories
Make sure both Purity Check and LOP Check are selected
Make sure Scan All Users is selected
Make sure File Age is set to 30 days
Click the Run Scan button.
When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
Please Attach the contents of these logs for review by our Security Team
