Our home wireless connection is working fine on everything except my laptop.
Properties say it's connected and is sending AND receiving data, it's also at full signal strength, but I can't load anything. Chrome returns the 'This webpage is not available" page citing "Error 105: Unable to resolve the server's DNS address." I've tried Firefox and IE as well and no sites are loading.

I ran a McAfee scan, which deleted 4 files infected with 'Exploit-MSWord.a' but that hasn't fixed the problem. Running Malwarebites at the moment - (which I had to install by copying the set-up application from a USB from another computer) it has been non-responsive a few times, when attempting to connect to the server to update, and is running/scanning very slowly, but hasn't detected anything yet. Help! Now what do I do?

I can't check that site on my computer because it won't connect to any sites at all, but I did install the Kaspersky TDSS plug-in from a flash drive and it didn't find anything.

Hi Stacy

Follow the Steps below to Change your DNS Settings to Default.

Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.

Depending on the version of your Windows do one of the following:

For Windows 7 or Vista: Click the Network and Internet icon, and then click Network and Sharing Center. In the left pane, under Tasks, click Manage Network connections.
If the User Access Control appears, click Continue.
For Windows XP: Double-click the Network Connections icon.
Right-click the network connection that you want to configure, and then click Properties.

In the Network Connection Properties window, under "This connection uses the following items", click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) or Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
Click Properties.

To use the default DNS server settings configured by your Internet service provider, select Obtain an IP address automatically.
Click ' OK '
Open Command Prompt --> Type ' ipconfig /flushdns '
Now try to open Websites.
