How to revert from Windows 7 back to Vista?

I purchased a version of Windows 7 of someone at work and it looked legit.
It installed perfectly and it even pasted the Microsoft Essentials Validity Test.
So i was convinced that I got a good deal for the software.

However, a few days later, my computer screen went black and says that The Copy is not genuine.

Any help?
I rather go back to Vista than purchasing the software again..

You copy of Windows looks like illegitimate version. If this didn't know about it please contact the vendor were you have purchased the Windows 7 this has been activated using some crack software. Is so wipe the whole Hard drive and install a legit copy of Windows.

We don't support illegitimate version of Windows

I already had Vista on my computer... and the vendor was a school so I guess I'll have to talk to them.
