Restore Factory Settings?

I know there is already a post on this topic, but none of the answers helped with my situation.

My computer has slowed down a lot. I want to restore it to the default factory settings. I tried Alt + F10, but that didn't work.
My computer is an Acer Aspire E380. The Acer Empowering Technology doesn't seem to work on it. The operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium.

Thank You for your help. But I can't find the Acer Recovery Management on the computer. I downloaded it from the acer website but when I open it, it brings up a dialouge box which reads "this application has known problems/difficulties, do you still want to run this application?" I don't know what I should do.

I am reading the instructions on the page from the link and it says

1 •Click “Start” menu.

2 •Click “Programs.”

3 •Click “Acer Recovery Management.”

4 •Click the “Restore” button on the bottom of the dialog box that opens.

5 •Click “Restore System to Factory Default.”

6 •Click “Yes” in the warning dialog box which asks if you wish to continue the recovery process.

7 •Click “Start” to restore the computer to the default factory settings.


(If you have recovery disks you can use those instead.)

There is no Acer Recovery Management on my computer. I had it when I first got the computer, but I dont know where to find the toolbar. I tired looking in Programs, but the "Acer Recovery Management" folder is not there.
I don't have the recovery dics either.
Is there any other way you can restore to factory settings.

Okay go to Start--> All Programs-->Accessories --System Tools
You should see Restore there also
