AV Security Suite???

My computer stopped allowing me to browse the internet or open any programs. I ran Malwarebytes, in safe mode and it found three infected files. 2 adware.PopCap and Trojan.Dropper. Please help me figure out why my computer is not working. Thanks. I have quarantined and deleted those files. I restarted the computer and it still doesn't work. When opening IE it says: Application cannot be executed. The file googletoolbaruser_32.exe is infected. Do you want to activated your antivirus software now?

I have been clicking no. This reminds me of AV Security Suite but malwarebytes didn't find that. What is going on? I get the same message when I try to navigate IE. I don't have firefox. I also cannot run anything in normal mode. I have to be in safe mode. If I try to run Malwarebytes in normal, I get a message saying: Application cannot be executed. The file mbam.exe is infected. DO you want to activate your antivirus software now?

It does that for all programs.

Download OTL by OldTimer to your Desktop.

• Close all windows and double click OTL.exe
  
• Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted
  
• It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.
  
• You may need to use two posts to get it all.
  

Ok. This may be a stupid question, but how do I download it when I can't browse? I've tried safe mode with networking and can't do anything either.

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.

• Double click and run the installer.
  
• It will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\hijackthis.exe
  
• After installing, you should get the user agreement, press accept and Hijack This will run.
  
• When Hijack This opens, click "Open the Misc Tools section"
  
• Then select "Open Uninstall Manager"
  
• Click on "Save List..." (generates uninstall_list.txt)
  
• Click Save, copy and paste the results in your next post.

P2P(Peer to peer) applications are designed to help you easily share and distribute files between you and a group of people. But they can also be used to distribute malware, and thus are not considered safe.
The removal of these programs is optional, but highly recommended.

• Click Start >> Control Panel.
  
• Under the Programs click Uninstall a Program
  
• Highlight the following programs:
  
  µTorrent
  Adobe Reader 9.3
  Ask Toolbar
  Java(TM) 6 Update 18
  
  
• Click on the Uninstall/Change button at the top.
  

Updating Java:

• Download the latest version of Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 21.
  
• Click the "Download JRE" button to the right.
  
• In the Window that opens, select your platform, check the "agree" box, and click Continue.
  
• Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation and save to your desktop.
  
• Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  
• Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u21-windows-i586.exe that you downloaded to install the newest version.
  

Then download and install Adobe Reader 9.3.4
