Java problems

I'm sorry, I don't know if this is being posted in the right section. But I am having problems running programs that use Java. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Java and that didn't fix the problem and I can't find anything useful at their website. I hope you have some ideas. Thanks.

Do you have the lastest version of JAVA installed?

I guess so, it is the only one they have available at java.com

Ok, I solved my own problem. I'll post what I did in case anyone has the same problem. I had to download Java version 6.20 first (the previous version) with version 6.21 uninstalled. The place to get the 6.20 version is here:

Then go down to where it says:
Java Platform Standard Edition (Java SE)
JDK/JRE - 6
and from the menu choose version 20

After the download was complete, I downloaded version 21 from java.com and everything works for me now.
