My DVD writer isn't being recognized by my computer anymore - it runs when I put a disk in, but the OS(Vista) does not recognize the D: drive and won't play or burn anything, but it does recognize my internal & external Hard Drives(C:,E:). I tried to fix this by doing a registry edit, deleting the upper and lower filters from (4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318) but still no D: drive. Then I tried to install the driver for the DVD burner (I believe it's a Optiarc AD-7590), but it couldn't find the drive to install it on since it could not recognize the D: drive. I'd like to try and fix this if possible, otherwise I may need to get an external burner, and who knows if that will work. If there's any way you can help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you...
