Hi, I'm trying to fix a problem that my parents are having with their browsers on their desktop running XP. I'm several states away, so I can only go on what they've told me and what I can do via remote assistance. According to my father, he was using Firefox when he "clicked some link" and "saw a message about an update." The next time they tried to use the computer, firefox crashed when opening. I've also had them try IE and that also crashes when opening, but they do have a working connection.
I had them run their AVG anti-virus scan and it found 3 malware that were deleted (not sure what). I'm not exactly sure what other setup they have since it's been awhile since I set it up for them. They can connect with a laptop and download any programs that are needed as well. Any help would be appreciated.
