In one corner: 4 free AV´s. In the other corner: 45 TDSS samples. TING! FIGHT!

So I ran a minitest with 4 free AV´s and 45 very nasty samples of TDSS - some older samples but also some newer ones of less than 2 weeks old (teh f34red TDL3). Most samples were TDSS rootkit droppers.

45 samples - 4 on-demand scans. Teh results:

• Panda Cloud - deleted 41 and marked 4 as suspicous
  
• Avast!5 - kicked 45 butts
  
• Avira 10 - wiped 45 asses
  
• AVG 9 - smacked 45 faces.

I guess future is not as bleak as we might think.

Panda Cloud is also able to remove infections offline.

Both are good. It's really your choice as to which you prefer.

Agree with Doc. The difference is small. Take whichever you like. Dont spend energy on it. If you want to spend energy on your cybersafety, do it by adding new security layers: a safer browser, a limited user account, a good backup strategy, using a condom while browsing p0rn.
