ave.exe total vista security virus on computer please help!!

hello , please help me.
total vista security virus on my system(windows vista) keeps throwing popups to register/purchase presumably fake software online. downloaded malwarebytes.. it does detect and delete the infected file but each time i restart and open internet explorer or mozilla the ave.exe process restarts. ..please help!! what steps do i need to take to take this out of my system?

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.

How is the machine running now?

hello again. i did what you said. but now when i start my machine, i just get a black screen at startup no start button, right click dont work either. somehow though "My documents" pops open and i am able to navigate and run all programs normally including internet. dunno whats going on?! On starting task manager i see no tasks running. a truckload of svchost proceeses running. what do you think?

Sounds like explorer isn't loading correctly.

Open the Task Manager via ctrl/alt/del. Go to the "Applications" tab, and press "New Task..."

In the open field, type in explorer an hit the OK button.
