McAfee is not installing due to Java Script

I purchased McAfee Anti Virus, but can not get it to install. Every time I try, I get a message that it will not install due to Java Script not working properly. What do I need to do to rectify this situation, as I am fearful that my computer will end up with viruses, and eventually crash without some form of protection?

Start >> Run >> Type in cmd >> Type regsvr32 jscript.dll

Hit Enter, restart your computer and try installing again.
