For about a week now, my mouse has magically stopped working, webcam doesn't work, and now my harddrive is not reading my Sims 3 CD. I know the CD works just fine, so I don't get what's going on, other than it has to be a virus or something.

Hello.

  • Open HijackThis
  • Choose "Do a system scan only"
  • Check the boxes in front of these lines:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5C255C8A-E604-49b4-9D64-90988571CECB} - (no file)
O23 - Service: Message Queuing Service (MSMQSVC) - Unknown owner - C:\Windows\system32\mqsv32.exe (file missing)

  • Press "Fix Checked"
  • Close Hijack This.

Please download and run this tool.

  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Please download USBNoRisk to your Desktop and run it by double clicking the program's icon.

  1. Wait a couple of seconds for initial scan to finish.
  2. Connect all of your USB storage devices to the PC, one at a time, and keep each one connected at least for 10 seconds.
  3. If there are more USB storage devices to scan, please take a note about the order in which these were connected.
  4. After all the devices are scanned, right click in the Monitor tab, and choose "Save log". That will open the log in Notepad. Please copy and paste the log into this thread.
Explanation: USB storage devices are all the USB devices that get their own partition letter at connecting to the PC, e.g. flash drives (thumb/pen drives, USB sticks), external HDDs, MP3/MP4 players, digital cameras, memory cards (SD cards, Sony Memory Stick, MultiMedia Cards etc.), some mobile phones, some GPS navigation devices etc.

My god, having the same problem again, just the mouse this time. I don't get it, I scan everything that I download and nothing ever comes up. I think I just need to stop downloading or get a new antivirus program. X.x

Mind helping me once more with this? I've redone all of this already and nothing has worked.

See here:

Turn off the automatic reboot. Now when the BSOD happens, the machine wont reboot until you press the reboot/shutdown button.

Now, can you tell me what it says?
