Banker Fox and Nuqel serious problems

Hi everyone! I just registered but I cannot find the New Topic button; i want to post to the Virus removal/malware forum. My computer is being attcked by the BankerFox and Nuqel viruses. I removed all P2P programs, but I cannot do much else; they have affected my exe files and they keep opening IE with ''viagra'' and "porno" web pages. Help!

Please download the current version of HijackThis from HERE

• Double click and run the installer.
  
• It will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\hijackthis.exe
  
• After installing, you should get the user agreement, press accept and Hijack This will run.
  
• Select Do a system scan and save a log file. This will open a notepad file of everything Hijack This found, copy and paste it back here.
  

I downloaded the program but when I click the icon I get yet another error msg that the winlogon.scr is infected. Is there another way I can run it?

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :

• Restart your computer
  
• After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  
• Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
  
• Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
  
• Choose your usual account.
  

Try running Hijack This in Safe Mode, let me know what happens.

I have it scanned and working; last question: how can I copy and paste from that window?

Remove the Proxy setting in Internet Explorer and/or in FireFox.

In Internet Explorer

1. Tools Menu -> Internet Options -> Connections Tab ->Lan Settings > uncheck "use a proxy server" or reconfigure the Proxy server again in case you have set it previously.
   

In Firefox

1. Tools Menu -> Options... -> Advanced Tab -> Network Tab -> "Settings" under Connection > Choose "No Proxy"
   
2. Click the apply button and restart that computer in normal mode.
   

Please download and run this tool.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  

Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following programs.

Adobe Reader 7.0
Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_03
Java(TM) 6 Update 11
Viewpoint Media Player

Updating Java:

• Download the latest version of Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 17.
  
• Select the second option where it says "This special release provides a few key fixes.".
  
• Click the "Download" button to the right.
  
• In the Window that opens, select your platform, check the "agree" box, and click Continue.
  
• Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation and save to your desktop.
  
• Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  
• Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u17-windows-i586.exe that you downloaded to install the newest version.
  

Please download Firefox 3.5.7 and install it. It will install over version 2.0 you currently have installed, so you won't lose any bookmarked websites.

Then download and install Adobe Reader 9.2
