So I have a Dell Inspiron B130 that I bought probably about 5 yrs ago. I bought a new netbook and decided that since I barely use my old dell that I would wipe it and start fresh because it had so much stuff on it that I didn't need or want. I figured it could just be a backup computer. So, I reinstalled the os (windows xp) from the reinstallation disk that came with the computer. Now it is saying that it cannot connect to the internet. It isn't my CAT5 cable becuase it works in all the other computers in my house. I tried resetting the modem and the computer multiple times and I still get the same thing. A friend of mine told me that Dells sometimes lose drivers when the os gets reinstalled. I have no idea how to check if that is the case. It worked fine until I reinstalled the os (it was just really full of years of crap), but now it is basically useless. Please help! Thank you!

Dell's support website has a list of drivers for most of their products for cases like these. Here is a link for your laptop:

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?os=WW1&catid=5&dateid=-1&impid=-1&osl=EN&typeid=-1&formatid=-1&servicetag=&SystemID=INSPIRON1300%2FB130&hidos=WW1&hidlang=en&TabIndex=

I would think Broadcom - Driver and Dell - Driver would be the ones you are looking for. Change the Filter options to show all categories if you need other drivers ie audio and video.
