System Operation Excruciatingly slow

If this is in the wrong forum please advise and move to the correct one.

My mother-in-law's system takes so long to perform any action. The system is a Compaq Presario SR2150NX using Vista w/SP2 on a Celeron D 3.33GHz, 2GB RAM. All critical updates have been installed, most unused programs deleted, Java up to date, JavaRA run, Adobe updated and the following output from Hijack This is below. Live Update.com always fails and cannot find the fix to that as well. She's using AdAware which comes up clean, and access her AOL through the internet. Option is not available to delete AOL nor use Mozilla.
