antivirus protection pro

Have spent most of the day trying to get rid of this. It keeps closing internet explorer so I have trouble logging onto geekpolice. I got my old laptop out as am so frustrated with my desktop. The desktop has the malware. I am taking classes for bachelors degree online and need to get this fȋxed as soon as I can. The malware antimalware bytes didn't work to get rid of it. Keep getting a porn and viagra site popping up along with the antivirus stuff. I hope you can help.

Please download the current version of HijackThis from HERE

• Double click and run the installer.
  
• It will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\hijackthis.exe
  
• After installing, you should get the user agreement, press accept and Hijack This will run.
  
• Select Do a system scan and save a log file. This will open a notepad file of everything Hijack This found, copy and paste it back here.
  

Can I do this in safe mode as the computer that is having the problem, the antivirus system pro keeps closing internet explorer and I can't log into geekpolice on that computer? I was somehow able to get into geekpolice and tried to download and install hijackthis. It wouldn't let me install as antivirus system pro stopped it. I will try to install in safe mode as I saved it to my documents. Will go to bed after trying as have to work at 0600. Actually just got into geekpolice somehow and tried to download and install hijack this, but couldn't get it to install, the antivirus system pro kept stopping me. I will try to install in safe mode.

Tried to download in safe mode and can't get to the bottom of the agreement to click ok as everything is so big. Any special way to do this?

Try this instead, it will do everything for us and there's no buttons to push.

Please download and run this tool.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  

Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Post the contents of the MBAM Log.

I did all this in safe mode and haven' t checked the regular operating system yet since I was having so much trouble with the antivirus blocking everything I tried to do. By the look of your site, it is attacking quite a few computers.

Yep, were getting a lot of the same stuff you have here, and from your MBAM log, we need to go deeper.

Download the GMER rootkit scan from here: GMER

1. Unzip it and start GMER.
   
2. Click the >>> tab and then click the Scan button.
   
3. Once done, click the Copy button.
   
4. This will copy the results to your clipboard.
   
5. Paste the results in your next reply.
   

Note:
If you're having problems with running GMER.exe, try it in safe mode. This tools works in safe mode.
You can also try renaming it since some malware blocks GMER.

I'm having problems again with safe mode in that everything is so big and I can't get to the copy button to save and send it. I can get it all scanned and had to scan in safe mode as when I tried it in regular operating mode, it started and then I got the message that windows had a problem and had to shut down. What next???

Think my computer may be dead now. Turned it off and tried to start again and in safe mode and regular mode now get message that windows couldn't start as following file is missing or corrupt : \windows\system32\config\system. It says I can try to repair using original setup cd rom. Don't know if it will make any difference if I try that or should just give up and say it is time for a new computer. Will check messages later to see what you have to say. If I do get new computer, how can I prevent this from happening again?

Do you have your XP disc? not sure what's happened here.

Tried to run my dell operating system disc that has xp on it and it won't do anything. Computer said to push "r" , but nothing happens.
