Apple can’t afford to be out-and-out misanthropic—it does, after all, design products that people use. That said, it probably wouldn’t be missing the mark to call the company's attitude toward social networking, well, anti-social. But perhaps Apple’s turning over a new leaf in that department. Having piloted an iTunes Trailers account on Twitter last March with some degree of success, the folks at Infinite Loop have now launched four additional Twitter accounts.

To those hoping for the deepest innermost thoughts and sandwich musings of Apple CEO Steve Jobs, COO Tim Cook, design guru Jonathan Ive, or marketing chief Phil Schiller, I’m afraid you’ll have to keep your breath bated. Like the movie trailer accounts, the new Twitter feeds are all related to Apple’s iTunes brand: specifically iTunes Music, iTunes Podcasts, iTunes Movies, and iTunes TV. Each one provides the latest news about what you can find in those respective sections of the iTunes Store in the United States—sorry, international users.
