Trogan Horse Generic removal

Please excuse my limited knowledge, This is the first time I have ever posted anything.
My problem is That my AVG discovered a Trogan Horse Generic 14BUOE today.
It cannot heal it nor remove it and I am clueless as to what to do next. It says that it is sitting in my Optus broadband plugin files.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Please download the current version of HijackThis from HERE

• Double click and run the installer.
  
• It will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\hijackthis.exe
  
• After installing, you should get the user agreement, press accept and Hijack This will run.
  
• Select Do a system scan and save a log file. This will open a notepad file of everything Hijack This found, copy and paste it back here.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  

Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.

This says i'm clean and I don't understand why.
The optus wireless broadband dongle is where the horse was hiding and it has been causing some interference. ie causing it to tell me i had no credit left when there was over a gig remaining and conecting and disconecting randomly.
I am worried that is is still in the dongle. Excuse how insane that sounds.

Does the 'dongle' use external USB ports?

Yes the ones on the side of it. It is a laptop and I use the same port each time.

Please download USBNoRisk to your Desktop and run it by double clicking the program's icon.

1. Wait a couple of seconds for initial scan to finish.
   
2. Connect all of your USB storage devices to the PC, one at a time, and keep each one connected at least for 10 seconds.
   
3. If there are more USB storage devices to scan, please take a note about the order in which these were connected.
   
4. After all the devices are scanned, right click in the Monitor tab, and choose "Save log". That will open the log in Notepad. Please copy and paste the log into this thread.
   

Explanation: USB storage devices are all the USB devices that get their own partition letter at connecting to the PC, e.g. flash drives (thumb/pen drives, USB sticks), external HDDs, MP3/MP4 players, digital cameras, memory cards (SD cards, Sony Memory Stick, MultiMedia Cards etc.), some mobile phones, some GPS navigation devices etc.

I have done this however I cannot right click on moniter to save the log file. It didn't install to my desktop.
I wasn't presented with that option.
It popped up and began to scan.
I conected an apple iphone, an lg mobile, a camera sd card and the optus dongle. the letters of the ports were h,c,d,g and everything was clean. The only discrepencys were that g and h had sanitised mountpoints. If this is bad please let me know.

No, the mountpoints are fine, they are just a registry thing.

Does it say which particular piece of external hardware is 'infected'? could just be a leftover autorun.inf file somewhere, or a false positive. The autorun doesn't have to be malicious to be flagged, trust me.

I realized what I had done rong and worked out how to send the log.(novice lol)
So here it is and I think it looks good.
The device is behaving normaly now but how will I know weather or not it really isn't there. This is so distressing. Could you please also tell me the name of a good firewall.

We need to make a new restore point.

To turn off System Restore, follow these steps:

4. Click Yes when you receive the prompt to the turn off System Restore.

Now we need to make a new restore point.
