Desktop contains a virus. Not sure which.
Tried removing it, by setting default re-boot to safe mode.
Now unable to re-boot in any mode.
Tried f8 in last known configuration, safe mode, safe with prompt etc.
Tried Operating system disk, after loading components, got system error and re-boot message.

Installed new drive /as master/ and infected one /as slave/.
The system does not operate when two are connected.
In fact the "name" of the infected drive has changed in BIOS!?
Any ideas on how to recover data from this mess?

Markus
