I am having tremendous difficulty removing the System Security virus that calls itself "Total Security 2009". I've tried numerous things. When I attempt a System Restore, it says "System Restore has been deactivated by group policy. Contact your domain administrator." I had Spybot Search and Destroy loaded, and it say "it could not find the specified path", so I moved the spybot SD folder to my desktop, and executed from there. This time it loaded, but as soon as I clicked on "Check for Problems", it killed the process. I then found this website, and following the instructions, attempted to install Malwarebytes' AntiMalware (MBAM). Immediately after installation, I tried to run the program, and it returned the same "could not find the specified path" message. Then I downloaded MBAM from another computer and installed it on a flash drive. I launched the program from the flash drive on the infected computer, and got as far as clicking the "Quick Scan" button, it got a few seconds in, and the process was killed.
