cdrw drive not writing music

I am also having issues with a cdrw drive on a friends lap top, any suggestions?

What is exactly the issue? Do you get any error messages when trying to burn music to the CD?

Well my cd burner says that I should switch cd brands or switch to a lower burn speed. It will analyze the cd then it starts to burn the first song then it says finished and pops the cd out. It then pops up with that bix that says I should switch cd brands or switch to a lower speed which I tried and it still doesn't work.

I'm guessing the burning software said that. What software are you using to burn?
