Hard Drive Memory Question

Hey!

I have a question regarding my laptop. The hard drive is 160 gigs. It is divided into half though. I have almost filled up one half, it says i am low on disk space. The other half is completely empty. Is it okay to access the other half? and how can I safely do that? Please help!

If the other half is not a recovery partition then yes, it's safe to use the other half.

How do i know it is a recovery partition? Can I lesson the space used for recovery or whatever. I really need to use that space, because I only have about 500 mb left of the first half..lol. Can u tell me what I need to do to get to that space?

Recovery partition mostly have a disk capacity of about 10GB, I would like you to open explorer >> right click the disk and see the size of it.

Well this cant be a recovery drive then, or it is using too much. My laptop hard drive is 160 GB and it is using half of the space!!!!!!!

How can I get it to let me use the rest?
