I recommend you remove the Java Quick Starter because it's not needed.
To do so, follow these instructions.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Java.
In the Java control panel, open the click the Advanced tab. Click the + in front of Miscellaneous and uncheck the Java Quick Starter box.

Ok I did all of that. Hijack This asked to restart the computer but I didn't because you said to just close it.

Reboot anyhow, let me know if performance is any better.

The only thing that seems to be wrong now is that the scroll on my touchpad mouse doesn't work. Everything else is great.

Oh I see what the problem is, the above fix included a line that had to do with your touchpad,please do the following:

Restore A Backup

• Run HijackThis
  
• In the main windows click on "view list of backups"
  
• Locate the following line(s) and put a check next to it:
  O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SynTPEnh] C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\SynTPEnh.exe
  
• On the right hand side click on the "Restore" button, you will be prompt with a message that says "Restore this item?" click yes
  
• Restart your computer and see if it works.
