Can't open Yahoo Messenger

Hi everyone, please help me with my problem, I can't open YM, but when I check the task manager, YahooMessenger.exe is running.

I'm using Vista.

Have you tried end task from the task manager and open it again?

1)Are you using the older version of 9.0? there seems to be similar issue of incompatibility/crashes with vista.
2)Have you tried reinstalling? There might be corrupted/missing files in the installer causing it unable to setup properly.
3)Is your Vista up to date?

1.) This is the version of my YM, ymsgr900_2124_us.

2.) When I try to uninstall it, it just hang and nothing happens. Even if I wait.

3.) Yes, my Vista is up to date.

And I have a new problem, I can't connect to the Internet, I don't know if it's because of this. But I think I have a virus, cause when I tried to open system restore, it is turned off, but I don't remember that I turn off it.

Right now, I'm using XP so I can connect to the internet.
