Weird Virus Keep Popping up

I keep getting an error when my AVG starts up. It says the virus or something is called jl.chura.pl/rc/ :

What does the error say?

• Open HijackThis
  
• Choose "Do a system scan only"
  
• Check the boxes in front of these lines:

• Close Hijack This.
  

Now open a new notepad file.
Input this into the notepad file:

del fix.bat

Save this as fix.bat, save it to your desktop.
Double click fix.bat and the black cmd window will open and close, this is normal.

Im not sure what Virus it is...but i have a picture of what its saying.

Is that a warning from a webpage? it's not an actual file on your machine.

When i log onto my AIM messenger, it pops up...I uninstalled the AIM and reinstalled it but it keeps comming back.

For instance, When someone AIM me, this notification would pop up.

I wonder if AVG is link scanning something.

You could try switching the link scanner off, or switching from AVG to Avira. Let me know which you want to try.

Which one would you recommend? I dont mind trying both if i need to haha.

Do you have any idea what type of malware/virus it is? will this type of infection make me reformat my computer?

Sorry, missed your post.

Can you open the AVG interface (double click its icon in the corner).
Then select "Link scanner"

In that option, there should be a tick box that says "Enable link scanning"
Untick that and hit okay. (Your AVG icon will turn from the shield to a red ! sign)
Don't worry about that though, the malware shield is still enabled, this is just temporary.

Let me know if it still brings up the warning.

When i click on link scanner, i only have 3 settings. Enable AVG Search Shield, Enable AVG Surf Shield and enable reporting of detected threats to avg. I dont see Enable link scanning

Turn off the safe surf shield.
