trojan vundo

I was recently hit with trojan vundo and wish to know if its fully gone. I used Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware + avg 8.5 scanning to remove some components of it, but do not know if its gone.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  

Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Hello.

I see you have Viewpoint Manager, this is considered as foistware instead of malware since it is installed without users approval but doesn't spy or do anything "bad". See here and here for more info.

I suggest you remove the program now.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following programs.

• Viewpoint Manager (Remove only)
  
• Viewpoint Media Player
  
• Viewpoint Toolbar
  

Then please find and delete this folder in bold (if present):
C:\Program Files\Viewpoint

• Please download DDS by sUBs to your Desktop (Important!!) from one of these locations:

  Link 2
  
• Double click DDS.scr to run
  
• When complete, DDS.txt will open.
  
• Save the report to your Desktop.
  
• Copy and paste DDS.txt back here, I don't need to see attach.txt.
  

I was only able to locate and delete viewpoint media player and toolbar. But I couldn't find the manager. I deleted the viewpoint folder.

DDS isn't working for me. I'm getting: 'FINDSTR.EXE' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file.

A Window-No disk error is constantly popping up also after pressing DDS.

Do you have any USB items plugged in while trying to run DDS?

Change the file extension from pif/scr to com or exe, then try running it.

No, i don't have any usb connected currently.

I tried changing it to com and exe, neither worked and I got the same error message.

• Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
  
• Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
  
• Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
  
• Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of log.txt (<< will be maximized) and save info.txt (<< will be minimized) for later.
