Hi

You kindly helped me last week to remove a win32/cryptor problem.

This week I have been plagued with random crashes and system failing to boot properly from hibernation - fails to restore the settings.
On boot, once windows is loaded and logged in, the mouse jumps and flickers across the screen, tabbing icons on desktop.

Ran anti-virus but finding nothing, any suggestions?
Thanks again

Putting a machine into sleep mode shuts down everything apart from the memory. I recommend not doing this, my farther used to do this and now his laptop battery is completely dead, doesn't work anymore.

If you aren't using it, shut it down or leave it on.

Your problems could be a result of doing that.

Will take that on board, thanks alot.

Even from complete restart the mouse thing keeps happening, after logging into windows as if someone else has control. wondering if I have some sort of hidden virus but everything comes back clean.

Also wants to run a disk check everytime I start up. strange.

Hello.

It's gonna be hard to pin point the problem, because as I said, if you have damaged some parts of the hardware, then it could fry the motherboard.

If you have caused damage, that's why you can't get it out of sleep mode, because the memory will have suffered too.

I'll move this out to Software forum in hopes that Doc has some ideas.

If the disk check wants to run, let it run. There could be some errors in your system.

As for the mouse thing, it happens if your mouse is faulty, happened to me before. What do you mean by "tabbing icons"?

Like it runs across the icons on desktop as if to double click and will sometimes right click to bring up menus but does nothing with them.

Do you have a spare mouse? I think the mouse is faulty. Also, have you let Windows complete the disk check?
