Used Avenger, now all icons are gone!15th April 2009, 11:23 pm

Hello,
I was following the advice regarding the Cryptor Virus.
Would not let me download as others, however Avenger would.
Download and Run Avenger as posted, during 1st reboot, desktop comes up with no icons.
Alt, Ctl and Del is met with "task manager has been disabled by your administrator"
Reboot again same thing...
Any advice on how to move forward would be welcome!

This is what happens when you follow instructions meant for other people and not you.

Do the icons load fine if you boot to safe mode?

Booted into safe mode with networking..
Went to restore, restored to last month.
So far so good..now am running Malwarebytes..
AVG 8.5 does NOT detect anything..
Malware has caught 5 so far in full scan mode..
