Safe to change RECOVERY drive letter?

On my dell inspiron laptop, I have a 10gb recovery partition. Just curious, if I change the drive letter, could this cause problems?

Despite what you hear, Yes It is safe to change the assigned drive letter as long as no other program or service is dependent on that drives location.

With recovery drives, you usually access their recovery console and data outside of the windows environment (By pressing a keyboard button during boot).

Thanks heaps for your help. So if I need to access the Recovery drive outside of windows because windows fails or something, it won't matter about the drive. I have never used the recovery drive, infact it would be good if it was hidden or something.

using the vista partition manager, is it safe to hide the recovery partition without causing problems later on?

It starts to put me off a bit when you need to recover a recovery partition..lol

As long as you know how to correctly recover the partition using partition manager again, then i cant see why not!

Why dont you do a bit of testing first, before you set up for the real deal.
