Well I dual booted Vista and Ubuntu today. My problem is it doesn't detect my router(i'm on a laptop) and Windows Vista detects it.I need to fix this problem since I will be getting slackware later and I don't want this problem to happen with that distro. If it helps my router is a Belkin. Thanks

Drak aka B1uEScreen

Edit:I think it may be my router its old belkin model and I have heard stories Linux doesn't pick up belkins i'll switch to a linksys

Please run a "sudo lspci" from the command prompt to see if it's being detected. hopefully that should throw up your card....

After that, run "sudo ifconfig -a" to list the status of your network cards....

Finally, run "sudo ifconfig eth0 up"

Post the results back here.
